Karmakanda classes

Karmakanda is commonly known as ‘rituals’ and is a feature form of all known human societies. They are the traditions that are being followed by the humankind in their respective societies and are carried forward by inheriting them to the following generation.

According to the scriptures, Vedic sages used to do welfare for themselves and the world through rituals. The studies of karmakanda are quite difficult to pursue which is why we have divided its subjects into three chapters that are Karma + Kanda + Yagya. The main chapter out of all three is Yagya that is the oblation. All the verses are in Sanskrit and recitation of verses sheds light on religious and social life and are also been taught about the fruits and benefits of following the karmas.

The verses also teach about life and death and life after death as mentioned in Hindu Vedas and Upanishads. Students here are taught about the importance of Karmakanda and how does it affect us in the lifetime. They are being taught to perform their right duties and obligations towards the society and fellow people without hurting the sentiments of others in order to make their life worthwhile for society.

We, Shri Vidyamrut Varshini Pathshala, started ritual classes for students after being inspired by the line of thinking of ‘Awaaj Vedic’. Scholarly Brahmins namely Mohanbhai Bhatt, Garg Shashtri, Suryaram Joshi, Chunnilal Shashtri, Manubhai Joshi made their contribution by teaching Sanskrit to the students of Gajanan Mo. Shastri and Gajananbhai Pathshala at free of cost.

Yoga classes

Yoga is an art of controlling an individual’s mind, body, and soul. By practicing yoga one connects its soul with the Supreme Being. There are several benefits of performing yoga; apart from benefitting long life, yoga helps us to attain tranquility, positivity, and focused mind in everyday life.

Yoga classes include yoga, meditation, and pranayama. In today’s competitive environment, students tend to get stressed over their academic studies or peer pressures on their performance and forget to focus on their uniqueness and utilize their strengths to achieve their goals. Yoga teaches students how to promote self-acceptance, healthy habits, focus, and support positive mental health. Meditation and pranayama are frequently conducted to balance, endurance, and flexibility, sharpen their minds, relieve stress and anxiety, and strengthen them internally.

Patanjali has given Yogadarshan in formulaic language. There are eight steps of yoga: Yama, Niyama, Asana, Pranayama, Pratyahara, Dharana, Dhyana, and Samadhi. Together, they are called Ashtanga Yoga, and the body stays healthy by practicing it daily. In today’s stressful life, we can get rid of incurable diseases like heart disease, diabetes, cancer, etc. along with different types of physical and mental complications by performing yoga on a daily basis.

The institute also runs separate classes for women in which the results of bones and abdominal fat and other womanly complications have been cured. The president of the institute regularly visits the class and remains in a constant effort to promote Indian yoga more and more.

Mathematical Seminars

Mathematics is an inevitable part of our lives. Science and technology are so essential to the future success of humankind but at the same time, it cannot thrive without practitioners having a

solid mathematics foundation. Art (Kala)

Art and culture are a form through which mankind is being portrayed. At our institute, we promote art and culture equally as the academics. Dramas, dances, poetry, storytelling, and such other forms are carried out by the students to acknowledge the ancient Hindu culture.

As Sanskrit is the mother of all language and basis of Vedic culture and Upanishads, we keenly focus on those topics. In the Bhagavad Gita, Shri Krishna has mentioned and considered the Samaveda as his form. It is important to know the Samaveda first in order to understand the Vedic secrets. Also, there is music in Samveda which the sages used to enchant in a specific rhythm past times.

In the Gita, Pragya and Pujan are commanded by Shri Krishna; one of the programs in which various artists present their work is also held in the pathshala from time to time. The students perform dramas and plays based on ancient times and mythological stories.

The pathshala strives to conduct various programs related to art and culture from time to time in which different plays and programs presenting classical music, violin, sitar, tabla, dance, comedy, drama, painting, sculpture, easy music, etc. are performed.

A program on a play named “Vedo ma Samveda (Ganveda) hu chhu” was one of the successful events of the pathshala wherein people in thousands were present to watch and praised it later.

Child Sacrament Class ( Bal Sanskar )

If we want to build a healthy society, we have to make a child’s mind healthy. We have to shape the child like a lump of clay. Following this ideology, the president of the pathshala Dr. Nareshbhai Bhatt has started the Sanskar classes for many years.

In the great hall of the pathshala, various knowledge enhancing games are organized every year for the development of the mental health of the little ones. In order to awaken the imagination of the children, we organize drawing competitions. A ten days program is conducted at a regular level where Gandhiji’s books are exhibited The entire section of Gandhi Sahitya is with the pathshala in which the students are given ten days to read Gandhiji’s autobiography and then there is a session conducted on the students to discuss their thoughts on it. The motto behind it is to promote Gandhiji’s ideologies that leave a lasting impression on children’s minds.

In our joint venture with the Gujarat State Children’s University, every year we organize Sanskrit speaking classes in the name of “Let’s learn to speak Sanskrit” for the learners who desire to learn and speak Sanskrit herein they can study Sanskrit through religious texts and various other books.

Fetal sacrament ( Garbh Sanskar )

Women is the source of new life, hence, it is important for everyone to respect women since their childhood. A child’s development and enlightenment lies in their knowledge. At Shri Vidyamrut Varshini Pathshala we enlighten the learners on fetal sacrament as well.

For the best offspring, sages have given guidance in Vedas, Garbha Upanishads and Smriti and Puranas on fetal sacrament. Every woman and her family hopes that their children should be born mentally and physically healthy but it all starts with the thoughts that a women embodies in the child when it is in her womb; and it cannot be denied that a span of good thoughts brings the good in the child at a later stage.

At the classes of fetal sacrament, we acknowledge the women leaners on how to take care of themselves and the babies during the pregnancy inside out, what should be their planning for the nine months, what are the thoughts and consequences before, during and after the pregnancy and how it should be dealt with a calm and composed mind, what precautions are required to be taken and how to feed their mind with positivity and tranquility.

Classes of Philosophy

Philosophy is an excellent ladder to go from soul to paramatma. Many philosophical topics are found in classical and contemporary philosophical writings which are related to the nature of truth and knowledge, mind, body, freedom, existence of God etc. Just as the sun’s heat enters the body from sitting in the sun, so the subtle energy enters the body from self-knowledge. One can acquire knowledge from anywhere if they have the ability to get it and keep their learning mode on. Philosophy is the secret way to attain paramatma, and devotion is an easy way.

At, Shri Vidyamrut Varshini Pathshala, we teach the students about the philosophy of spirit and seek to throw light on the underlying assumptions and implications. We strive to acknowledge them with our culture, religious beliefs along with providing them with evidences as mentioned in our Vedas and Upanishads. Also, we leave the onus of analyzing the right and the wrong, truth and the myth related to the topics to give their thoughts a power of imagination and self-analysis.

Philosophy is an important subject in Sankhya Darshan. The goal of a human life is to attain God. In order to display the secrets of this life in the society, a joint venture of Gujarat State Sanskrit Sahitya Academy had organized the first Shaddarshan in Valsad, wherein Sankhya Yoga Vedanta Darshan discourses were organized.

Philosophy is an interesting subject and it can attract the attention of anyone in the world. Similarly in 2011 a two-day Gyan Satra was organized by Pranav Upasana, Tantrashastra, Shri Shivatatva, Solasanskar, Gayatri Mantra to have a debate on this subject which was also a successful event.

Religious classes

Religions are the form that holds the whole creation of humankind. The origin of many religions in the world is rooted in India. The form of Indian culture is divided into many religions. As a result, culture and religion have become synonymous with each other.

In the latter part of the Vedic period, the place of pure Vedic ideology has been replaced by Yajna and ritual. The origins of rituals lie in Hinduism. Dr. Nareshbhai Bhatt is constantly striving to share his knowledge in this regard to the learners. He organized Chaturveda Sammelan in which scholarly professors from different universities gave speeches in different languages on different topics of different Vedas. Different speakers gave speeches on each chapter of Ramayana. In the same way, scholars gave speeches on every chapter of the Mahabharata.

Various scholars like Sahityakar Gunwant Shah, JK Bhatt, Saurabh Shah, etc. were also present. Dr. Nareshbhai Bhatt, the President of the pathshala, was awarded the nationally awarded “Sanskrit Vidwan” by the Twelfth Jyotirlinga Committee established by the Government of India and Sanskrit Sahitya at the state level.

Dr. Nareshbhai Bhatt is a preacher of Sanskrit, Sanskar, and Sanskriti and Yoga Marg, who was awarded “Yajurveda Pandit” by the State of Gujarat, was felicitated by the distinguished achievements at the town of Birdawa from the enlightened citizens of Valsad district and more than 3 institutions and pathshala. Academies, Gujarat State Dr. Gautam Patel, Qatari Writer Divya Bhaskar Ms. Megha Joshi, and Munishri Jinchandraji had attended the event.
